Morning Offering: 01. 08. 22

Today’s Reflection: Father in heaven, thank you for the gift of this new day. Thank you for the beauty of your creation and the air that I breathe. Thank you for the opportunity to leave yesterday behind and to start today full of potential. I pray that you will be with me today so that everything that I do brings me closer to you. Amen. — Kevin Daly .

Today’s Reflection: God,
help me to find the time for you
in the midst of my busy days.
Give me the grace
to know when I need
to take a moment alone for prayer. —Kay Gregg.

Today’s Reflection: I like to think of this reflection as current-day theology — God has no phone, but I talk to him. He has no Facebook, but he is still my friend. He does not have Twitter, but I still follow him. — Unattributed.

Today’s Reflection: I never tire of good St. Francis! – Morning Prayer of St. Francis: Lord, help me to live this day, quietly, easily. To lean upon thy great strength, trustfully, restfully. To wait for the unfolding of thy will, patiently, serenely. To meet others, peacefully, joyously. To face tomorrow, confidently, courageously. — St. Francis of Assisi.

Today’s Reflection: God of all time,
help us enter the New Year quietly,
thoughtful of who we are to ourselves and to others,
mindful that our steps make an impact
and our words carry power.
May we walk gently,
May we speak only after we have listened well.
Creator of all life,
help us to enter the New Year reverently,
aware that you have endowed every creature and plant,
every person and habitat
with beauty and purpose. — Author unknown.

Today’s Reflection: A Wish for the New Year
Dear Lord, please give me…
A few friends who understand me and remain my friends;
A work to do which has real value, without which the world would be the poorer;
A mind unafraid to travel, even though the trail be not blazed;
An understanding heart;
A sense of humour;
Time for quiet, silent meditation;
A feeling of the presence of God;
The patience to wait for the coming of these things,
With the wisdom to recognize them when they come. — Author Unknown.

Today’s Reflection: Serenity Prayer –
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next. Amen. — Reinhold Niebuhr
