Today’s Reflection: God of the Universe,
Creator of this place we call home…
We are in an important moment as a country.
And in this moment we need You!
Grant us a spirit of healing and peace; a spirit of compassion and love; a spirit of wisdom, honesty, courage and humility.
Give us new ears to hear the cries for justice.
Give us new eyes to recognize racism and intolerance.
Give us renewed strength as we work for reconciliation.
Cleanse the wounds of our nation and its people;
help us to heal and find wholeness.

where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
