Morning Offering: 09. 19. 21

Today’s Reflection: Good and gracious God, I am grateful for your lessons in discipleship. You have challenged me to open my heart and to follow a path of radical love. Help me to listen more readily to those I tend to exclude, to those I may even fail to see. Help me to learn, even within moments of discord, to trust in you. I ask this in Jesus’ name, who welcomed sinners and walked with the marginalized and excluded of the world. Amen. — Bryan Sokol.

Today’s Reflection: As the sun rises, Lord, Let your light shine on me. Destroy the darkness about me, Scatter the darkness before me, Disperse the darkness behind me, Dispel the darkness within me. Let your light shine on me.
As the sun rises, Lord, Let your light shine on me. The warmth of your Presence, The brightness of your love, The radiance of your joy, The shining of your hope. Let your light shine on me.
As the sun rises, Lord, Let your light shine on me. Your light to guide, Your light to lead, Your light to direct, Your light to brighten. Let your light shine on me. — David Adam.

Today’s Reflection: I never tire of reading this: The day will come when after mastering the wind, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And then, for the second time in the history of the world, humanity will have discovered fire. — Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, SJ.

Today’s Reflection: O Heart of Jesus, what a great master you are, there is nothing to fear in journeying with you: you are for us the highest and most human expression of the love of God as well as of our love for God. Your love is so meek that your yoke is easy; it is so humble and condescending that it accepts the offering of the poor; it is so patient and compassionate that it goes more than half way to save us. — Marie Gérin-Lajoie.

Today’s Reflection: Let Your God Love You
Be silent.
Be still.
Alone.
Empty
before your God.
Say nothing.
Ask nothing.
Be silent.
Be still.
Let your God look upon you.
That is all.
God knows.
God understands.
God loves you with an enormous love
and only wants to look upon you
with that generous love.
Quiet.
Be still.
Let your God love you. — Edwina Gately.

Morning Offering: 05. 16. 21

Today’s Reflection: Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ,
For all the benefits and blessings which you have given me,
For all the pains and insults which you have borne for me.
Merciful Friend, Brother and Redeemer,
May I know you more clearly,
Love you more dearly,
And follow you more nearly,
Day by day. — St. Richard of Chichester’s Prayer.

Morning Offering: 03. 09. 21

Today’s Reflection: Found the painted stone in the rose garden last spring, it remains there to this day. Monday for some reason it called to mind, this: Love is patient, love is kind; love is not envious, or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love never ends … (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8)
