Today’s Reflection: Prayer  Lord here are my dirty feet

Lord, here are my dirty feet!
Proof of my walking in life
Proof of easy and difficult distances
and of steady or rough roads

Lord, that I may not fear being tired and hurt
Lord, that I may not fear the dirt and the smell
That I may not avoid walking, due to fear of the terrain.
Though sometimes I may trip and wound myself

Remind me, that my humanity is a walk
Not a static fixed pose
Life is movement, and in our essential walk
Sometimes we feel progress
and sometimes we only see dust
But Lord, you are with me,
and for me, no matter what.
I offer you my head and my hands,
Take care of my walk. —Sindy Collazo

Today’s Reflection: Prayer
May the Lord bless and keep you,
May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
May the Lord look kindly upon you and grant you peace.
May He enlighten the eyes of your heart,
So that you may understand the hope to which He calls you,
And the treasure that awaits you.
May He help you to overcome all obstacles in this Way and through life,
And may He accept you to His loving service. — Pilgrim’s Blessing, from CaminoIgnaciano.org/en

Today’s Reflection: PUSH MY BUTTONS PRAYER
Lord, it’s likely that sometime today
someone will push my buttons
challenge my good will
misread my intentions
tick me off
try my patience
rattle my cage
judge me in haste
test my kindness
or do all of the above…

Give me the grace I’ll need at such times
to respond with patience
to trust and accept
to listen carefully
to reach out in peace
to be fair and just
to anticipate goodness
in all my words and deeds…

I know this is a lot to ask, Lord,
but I need your help
to do for others
as I’d have them do for me.
Amen. — Rev. Austin Fleming

Today’s Reflection: Lord,
Send us running to the tombs you have left empty.
Reveal your resurrection to us in your surprising ways.
Compel us to share your news. We can hardly wait.

Today’s Reflection: Lord of all gentleness, Lord of all calm,
Whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm,
Be there at our sleeping, and give us, we pray,
Your peace in our hearts, Lord, at the end of the day. — Jan Struther.

Today’s Reflection: Lord, grant me the humility to allow your light to shine through the cracks in my life.

Today’s Reflection: God,
Sometimes I get upset when I pray to you because I don’t get a response
Sometimes I get upset when I pray to you because I do get a response,
But it’s not the one I want,
But most of the time I don’t pray to you because I’m upset
About something else
And I don’t know how or where to start.

Just open my mouth, O Lord,
And let me speak — show me it’s okay to just let it flow,
To pour it all out like Job, like David,
Like me when I talk to my therapist —

let me feel your gentle, listening presence,
the subtle warmth of someone sitting close
the slight cues of nods and mmhmm’s
the patience and acceptance of someone who listens
Without butting in to fix, to correct, or to solve.

Help me to speak with you clearly and openly,
Even and especially when I’m angry, broken or frustrated —
Thank you, Lord, for your listening —
Help me to speak. Amen. — Fr. Garrett Gundlach, SJ
