Today’s Reflection:  Dear God, Grant us the wisdom to seek peace within ourselves. Grant us the strength to break free from the noise and violence of our world, and the grace to walk forward in compassion, healing and unity with one another. Amen. — Maria Shriver

Morning Offering: 09. 03. 24

Today’s Reflection: O God, when I have food, help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work, help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home, help me to remember those who have no home;
When I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer,
And remembering, help me to destroy my complacency;
Bestir my compassion, and be concerned enough to help;
By word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted.
Amen.  —Samuel F. Pugh

Today’s Reflection:  We pray to you, O Lord,
For the lepers of our world today,
The untouched, the unloved, the rejected, scorned, and forgotten
For their needs and desires… and for hope
Be with them in a special way
Help give us the Compassion of Jesus to be welcoming, inclusive, attentive and loving to all those who cross our paths
To treat everyone we encounter with dignity and respect as You did.  Amen — Carl Caceres, SJ

Today’s Reflection:  Lord,
Give us understanding that we may learn our lessons well.
Give us compassion that we may show your face to those we meet.
Give us generosity that we may share the gifts you have given us.
Give us faith that we may have confidence in ourselves.
Above all give us love that we may bring joy into the lives of those around us. —Excerpted from Prayer of Dedication by Adrian Porter, SJ

Today’s Reflection:  If you have men  who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.— St. Francis of Assisi

Today’s Reflection:  As we serve others we are working on ourselves.
Every act, every word, every gesture of genuine compassion naturally nourishes our own hearts as well. It is not a question of who is healed first. When we attend to ourselves with compassion and mercy,
more healing is made available for others. And when we serve others with an open and generous heart, great healing comes to us. —Mahatma Gandhi

Today’s Reflection:  TRANQUILITY & PRACTICAL SPIRITUALITY – I have found that the greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes. — Dalai Lama

Today’s Reflection: Loving God,
I hold myself still and quiet, waiting for you, listening to you. May this time of silence bring me closer to you; may I hear your consoling voice; may I feel your loving embrace. And when I leave this prayer, may I share your words and your compassion with those I meet today. May I bring your peace to this world that you love so much. —Fr. Paul Kalenzi, SJ
