Morning Offering: 07. 06. 25

Today’s Reflection: Lord, help us to see the true heroes in our lives  – the pastor who leads, the teacher who cares, the neighbour who helps, the health care provider who listens, the ones who quietly show up. May we honor them and strive to be like them. — Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.

Today’s Reflection: Be simple, humble, and righteous. Be pure in heart. Be peacemakers. Feed the hungry. Stand with the oppressed. Wipe away the tears of those who mourn. Be kind and merciful. Love and forgive your neighbor. We are called to bring the Beatitudes to life. — The Assisi Project

Today’s Reflection: Did I offer peace today?

Did I bring a smile to someone’s face?

Did I say words of healing?

Did I let go of my anger and resentment?

Did I forgive?

Did I love?

These are the real questions.— Henri Nouwen

Today’s Reflection: It is not you who shapes God;
it is God who shapes you.
If then you are the handiwork of God
await the hand of the Artist
who does all things in due season.

Offer the pottery of your heart,
soft and tractable,
and keep well the form
in which the Artist has fashioned you.
Let your clay be moist,
lest you grow hard
and lose the imprint of the Potter’s fingers. —St. Irenaeus, in For You, O God: Prayers and Reflections

Today’s Reflection: A Prayer For Fidelity

When the wind blows strong,
Cloudy days can clear,
But clear days can cloud.
So why am I surprised when,
Without warning,
My heart is gripped by fear
Or stunned by a sadness
I cannot explain?

Whatever the weather,
Lord, teach me –
To be faithful, as you are faithful,
To trust you in every season of my soul,
To shout “Hosanna,” even in the lion’s den. —J. Michael Sparough, SJ

Today’s Reflection: Jesus, who tells stories of hope
that invite and challenge us.
Give us the grace to bid farewell to fear.
Forgive us for expecting what we think we deserve
while failing to receive the abundance you give.
Seed falls in unexpected places so teach us to find you
in places we think you are not supposed to go.
Help us, dear friend, to love
To love
To love
As we have been loved. Amen. — Carol Ackel
