Today’s Reflection: SEEKING CALMER WATERS –

Experts say, if you’re near a body of water, you inherently feel calmer and more at ease. Psalm 23 (The Good Shepherd) leads us “beside still waters” symbolizing peace and conveys God’s provision of comfort and tranquility for those who follow Him. — Bodmin Hermit

Today’s Reflection: When evil darkens our world. give us light. When despair numbs our souls, give us hope. When we stumble and fall, lift us up. When doubt assails us, give us faith. When nothing seems sure, give us trust. When ideals fade, give us vision. When we lose our way, be our guide! That we may find serenity in Your presence and purpose in doing Your will.— John D. Rayner

Today’s Reflection: I asked of God,

but there was silence.

I prayed to God,

but there was silence.

I begged of God,

but there was silence.

I cried out to God,

but there was silence.

Then I was silent,

and there was God.—  Author unknown.

Today’s Reflection: Morning Prayer

Keep us always open, Lord,

to hearing your guidance;

attentive to your call,

responsive to your gospel

and ready to follow you

with all that we are,

all that we have,

and all that we do.

As we receive your gifts

of love and mercy,

inspire us to share them with all. — Bill Braviner

Today’s Reflection: Prayer

I pray that our eyes may be open
To be one another’s keeper
To look out for the children of the world
Offer a kind word, a book, an encouragement
I pray that we may teach our kids to hope
To be kind, to love, to stand against injustice
And may we take time to accept what children offer us
The magic of hope and love
Amen. — Adapted from a poem written by Donna Akuamoah, United Methodist Women International Ministries

Today’s Reflection: Life humbles you. As you grow older, you stop chasing big things and start valuing little things: alone time, enough sleep, a good diet, long walks, and quality time with loved ones. Simplicity becomes the ultimate goal. — Author unknown
