Today’s Reflection: Lord,
Send us running to the tombs you have left empty.
Reveal your resurrection to us in your surprising ways.
Compel us to share your news. We can hardly wait.

Today’s Reflection: NEW SERENITY PRAYER
0 God, grant me the serenity
to accept the people I cannot change,
which is pretty much everyone,
since I’m clearly not you, God.
At least not the last time I checked.
And while you’re at it, God,
please give me the courage
to change what I need to change about myself,
which is frankly a lot, since, once again,
I’m not you, which means I’m not perfect.

It’s better for me to focus on changing myself
than to worry about changing other people,
who, as you’ll no doubt remember me saying,
I can’t change anyway.

Finally, give me the wisdom to just shut up
whenever I think that I’m clearly smarter
than everyone else in the room,
that no one knows what they’re talking about except me,
or that I alone have all the answers.

Basically, God,
grant me the wisdom
to remember that I’m
not you. Amen. — Fr. James Martin SJ

Today’s Reflection: TEACH ME THY PATHS
Show, O Lord, Thy ways to me,
And teach me Thy paths.
Direct me in Thy truth, and teach me;
For Thou art God my Savior. — St. Peter Faber, SJ

Morning Offering: 04. 18. 23

Today’s Reflection: O great God/Spirit, you have created me and everything around me with a sense of mystery. I now step into that mystery and put my arms around it. Help me to accept the things of this day I do not, and cannot, understand and that my encounter with them will bring me nearer to you and closer to living a holy life. — Step Three, Native American Three Step Prayer (Last of three, the two previous were April 16 and April 17)).

Today’s Reflection: Dear God/Spirit, you have created me as I am. I accept myself as I am now, in the past, and as I will be in the future. I ask that today I will be true to the way you have created me. Help me to walk respectfully on Mother Earth so none of its plants will be crushed. Help me to walk into people’s lives in the same way today so none of them will be bruised.— Step Two, Native American Three Step Prayer
