Morning Offering: 11. 04. 25

Today’s Reflection: Come to me, Lord, in the silence.

Envelop me, Lord, in Your peace.

Send me forth, in Your love, O Lord,

In the silent peace of my heart. —Unknown

Today’s Reflection: Heavenly Father, you challenge me to love my enemies. I cannot love like this without your help. Unite me to your heart. Forgive me for labeling others an “enemy” simply out of disagreement or injured feelings. Expand my capacity for love and forgiveness. Grant me your compassion. Amen — Jesuit Prayer team

Morning Offering: 10. 31. 25

Today’s Reflection: Slow me down, Lord!
Ease the pounding of my heart
By the quieting of my mind.
Steady my harried pace
With a vision of the eternal reach of time.

Give me,
Amidst the confusions of my day,
The calmness of the everlasting hills.
Break the tensions of my nerves
With the soothing music
Of the singing streams
That live in my memory.

Help me to know
The magical power of sleep,
Teach me the art
Of taking minute vacations
Of slowing down
To look at a flower;
To chat with an old friend
Or make a new one;
To pet a dog;
To watch a spider build a web;
To smile at a child;
Or to read a few lines from a good book.

Remind me each day
That the race is not always won by the swift;
That there is more to life
Than increasing its speed.

Let me look upward
Into the branches of the towering oak
And know that it grew great and strong
Because it grew slowly and well.
Slow me down, Lord,
And inspire me to send my roots deep
Into the soil of life’s enduring values
That I may grow toward the stars
Of our greater destiny.  — Orin L. Crain

Today’s Reflection: Jesus, you go by many names.
Messiah. Savior. Christ.
Rebel. Teacher. Story-teller.
Living Bread. Light of the World. Good Shepherd.
The (Narrow) Way. The Truth. The Life.
Draw me close to you so that I may call you Friend.
Amen. —Douglas Gleber

Today’s Reflection: Christ,
Coming closer to you
is saying yes to a stretch

Of who I think I can love
with this clumsy heart

Of who I think I can understand
with this limited mind

Of who I think I could befriend
with this small imagination

You stretch me inside
to push me outside
on mission –
To love and listen
To grow my world with your love.

Okay, but gently please, Amen. —Fr. Garrett Gundlach SJ

Today’s Reflection: Lord, hold close those whose hearts ache from the loss of a beloved pet. Surround them with Your gentle comfort and remind them of the joy and unconditional love they shared. May their grief be met with Your peace and may sweet memories bring them healing in time. — Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration
