Today’s Reflection: Silence Prayer

Still the mind.

Inhale the peace.

Let go of worries.

Exhale stress.

Notice the breath.

Connect to all.

Embrace the calm.— Unknown

Today’s Reflection: Responding to a request – My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone. —Thomas Merton

Today’s Reflection: Peace is not something you must hope for in the future. Rather, it is a deepening of the present, and unless you look for it in the present you will never find it. —  Thomas Merton

Today’s Reflection: It is not life that causes suffering, but our expectation that life should be the way we want. — Kodo  Sawaki

Today’s Reflection: Once a man was asked, “What did you gain by regularly praying to God?”.  The man replied, “Nothing…. But let me tell you what I lost: Anger, ego, greed, depression, insecurity and fear of death.” Sometimes the answer to our prayers is not  gaining, but losing, which ultimately is the gain. — Author unknown

Today’s Reflection: Lord God,
help me to orient my life toward you.
Help me to serve you rather than wealth.
Help me to prioritize those things that matter to you,
and forget about what the world values.
Help me to follow the path that you prepare for me.
Amen. — Jesuit Prayer site

Today’s Reflection: MORNING PRAYER:

Lord, enlighten my mind with truth;

Inflame my heart with love;

Inspire my will with courage;

Enrich my life with service;

Pardon what I have been;

Sanctify what I am;

and order what I shall be. Amen.
