Today’s Reflection: Prayer for a Loyal Heart

Lord Jesus,
On this solemn day, I reflect on betrayal. Judas walked with You, heard Your teachings, witnessed Your miracles. Yet his heart drifted.

Protect my heart from drifting. Guard me from allowing small compromises to grow into serious sin.

Sometimes I trade obedience for comfort. Sometimes I silence my conscience for convenience. Forgive me for every time I have chosen something over You.

Let no earthly gain replace my love for You. Remove greed, pride, and selfish ambition from within me.

Give me a loyal heart, steadfast and sincere. When I am tempted to turn away, draw me back quickly. When I feel spiritually cold, rekindle devotion.

As the Cross approaches, keep me near. Let me choose You again and again, without hesitation. Through Christ our Lord. – Prayer for Wednesday in Holy Week.
